I'm born and raised in Vancouver. I'm married to Harmony and we have 3 lovely and very rambunctious boys! I'm also an unrepentant extrovert.
I have a panoply of passions ranging from food (cooking and eating-thus far I've made Pad Thai, mole negro, tonkotsu ramen, cha gio (Viet imperial spring rolls), pasta alla carbonara, borscht (both HK and Eastern European), baechu kimchi, the list goes on), music (from indie rock to classical music and experimental jazz), justice, sports (especially baseball), and learning about other cultures. I also really love connecting with people and having large gatherings of people centered around home-cooked food.
At first I was connected to Strathcona Vineyard because of my friendships with many people who attend this church! But as of 2019 my home church (Vancouver Chinese Evangelical Free Church) has seconded me to the Vineyard. Currently I'm part of the community dinners planning team and do lots of visitations.
I really appreciate Strathcona Vineyard's focus on reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
You'll find it's a fairly diverse and informal church. Also very welcoming!
